FAQs for our landscaping construction services
Do retaining walls always need building consent?
Not always. In New Zealand, retaining walls over certain heights or those supporting additional loads may require building consent, while smaller garden retaining walls often do not. We'll advise you if consent is likely to be required for your project.
Can you complete part of my landscape project?
Yes. While many clients ask us to complete an entire landscape project, we're equally happy to build a single feature such as a retaining wall, paved path, fence or garden entrance. Every project is tailored to your requirements and budget.
Can you improve an existing garden without starting again?
Absolutely. Many gardens already have good features that can be incorporated into a new landscape. We can work with your existing layout and recommend improvements that enhance the overall appearance and functionality of your outdoor space.
How do I know which landscape features are worth investing in?
It depends on how you want to use your garden. Some homeowners prioritise entertaining areas, while others want useable space (garden retaining), improved privacy (fences) or feature areas with paving or seating. We'll help you decide where your budget will have the biggest impact, so you invest in the features that matter most to you.
